The Gateway Arch – Visit the world’s tallest arch located in the heart of St. Louis. Otherwise known as “The Gateway to the West”, this monument is over 190 m tall and open the public. For more information on visiting this fun attraction, please visit the Arch’s official website.

The  St. Louis Zoo – The St. Louis Zoo is approximately a 5-minute drive from the WUSTL campus and is known for it’s more than 16,000 wild animals. This popular attraction is located in Forest Part, and was recently voted America’s Top Free Attraction.

Forest Park – Forest Park boasts “world-class cultural institutions to beautiful, natural, and recreational areas”. This public space include such free attractions as The St. Louis Zoo (above), The Saint Louis Science Center, The Muny and more. 

City Museum – The City Museum is a ten-story building with exciting exhibits made of re-purposed materials. Included in it’s most popular attractions are a roof-top Ferris wheel, an extensive cave system, and 10-story slide. This year’s closing event will be held at the City Museum.

Six Flags – This popular amusement park has a St. Louis location within a 40-minute drive from WUSTL. Ticket prices vary, please see Six Flags website for more information.
