On-Campus Housing

Single room rate: $115 a night

Double room rate: $100 a night

Commuter rate: $15 charge by UCSC for all attendees not staying on campus

STC attendees staying on-campus will be housed in one of our 10 residential colleges.

Each pair of colleges has their own Residence Halls, Apartments, Dining hall and Classroom spaces which makes a central conference area possible no matter where we get assigned.

All adult conferences are housed in on-campus apartments which include singe and double rooms with shared common spaces (living and dining room, kitchen, and bathroom). All beds are twin size.

Fans are provided, there is no air conditioning.

Linen service is included.

Family accommodations may be available.

Off-Campus Housing

UCSC charges a $15 fee for all attendees not staying on campus.

If you are unable to stay on-campus during the conference, here are a few hotels we recommend. No conference rate discounts are available:

  • Scotts Valley Hilton (6.2 miles, approx. 25 minutes from campus, avg. $300/night) (831) 440-1000

  • The tourist nature of our city also means there are many affordable options on airbnb

Please note that travel time is approximate, as traffic in Santa Cruz during the summer is unpredictable. Please allow extra time to compensate for congestion. We are not providing shuttle service to and from campus from off-campus hotels. You are responsible for purchasing your own parking permit. No conference rate discounts are available.
