Within minutes one can visit the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Appalachian Trail, or be standing beneath one of the many surrounding waterfalls. The Cherokee Reservation is a short 30 minute drive from campus and is home to various historical sights, cultural shops, and Harrah\u2019s Cherokee Casino Resort. The University is also situated conveniently between Asheville, NC (1 hour) and Gatlinburg, TN (1.5 hours).
