There are currently 9 taxi cab companies in Las Vegas. UNLV is centrally located, so taxi cabs are easy to come by and fares to the airport and strip are cheap. Below are the companies and their phone numbers.

Buses
Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada operates the Citizens Area Transit (CAT) bus system. CAT has multiple routes throughout the Las Vegas Valley and Henderson. UNLV is surrounded by bus stops and also has it’s own Transit Center. The UNLV Transit Center is a 6,460-square-foot facility located south of Maryland Parkway and University Road (Near the Student Union and Tonopah Residence Hall). The facility includes a large number of bike racks and an outdoor waiting area with shelter canopies.
The Centennial Express provides a direct link to the RTC’s main transit hub, the Bonneville Transit Center in downtown Las Vegas, where riders can connect to other routes serving destinations across the valley. Fare information is below. These passes include access to all RTC routes.

Car
Cars can be rented from the McCarran Rent-A-Car Center. It is located at 7135 Gilespie Street, just three miles from the airport with easy freeway access to Interstates 15 and 215 and the Las Vegas Strip. The Center is open 24 hours and features state-of-the art customer service facilities. A free shuttle is available to and from McCarran International Airport.

Las Vegas is easily accessible by car or bus. Interstate 15 (I15) Runs through the heart of Las Vegas. US Highways 93, 95, and Nevada Highway 160 also intersect the city. Parking at UNLV is plentiful around the Residence Halls and Student Union, but is also monitored all year so attendees must sign up for a parking pass during registration, or ask for one upon reaching campus.
