Presentation/Keynote Locations
Built in 2007, the UNLV Student Union is over 135,000 square feet with more than 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The UNLV Student Union features a event scheduling office. The Student Union & Event Services Office provides centralized scheduling and event planning services for Student Affairs facilities and university outdoor green space. Their staff strives for excellence and takes pride in offering individualized attention and efficient services for a variety of economical, safe, and accommodating facilities on campus. Their Event Coordinators provide logistic support with Customized room configurations, Specialized equipment, Audiovisual needs, Special requests, Shipping and receiving packages, On-campus overnight accommodations and Registration websites. They can also assist with Parking, Police Services and Catering Options.
Philip J. Cohen Theatre:
The Philip J. Cohen Theatre in the Student Union is ideal for small theatrical productions, film screenings, or hosting a guest speaker. Conveniently located on the first floor across from the restrooms, the Theatre can seat up to 300 people and is equipped with a full audio, visual, and lighting system.The stage of the theatre measures approximately 20 feet by 30 feet. The Theatre would be the location for the Keynote address.
There is a attached green room, which gives guest speaker or performers a 25-by-27-foot space to prepare and relax before coming on stage.
Ballroom:
The Student Union ballroom is a great space for large-scale events, including awards ceremonies, guest speakers, banquets, and fairs. The room has a modern theme with plush carpet and decorative walls. This space can host up to 850 people, depending on the setup, and features full audio, visual, and lighting capabilities.

Meeting spaces:
The Student Union offers small and large meeting spaces.
The Student Union features nine smallĀ meeting spaces that are ideal for meeting, reception, conference, guest speaker, or banquet. Rooms can accommodate up to 65 people, depending on setup.
All rooms feature:
- A built-in dry-erase board
- A projection screen
- Ethernet and phone-line capabilities
- At least one area for food tables or event materials
- Windows for natural lighting
- A view of adjacent Maryland Parkway or campus
- Free guest wireless Internet access
The Student Union’s large multipurpose room, Room 208, can offer seating for more than 500 people. It consists of three sections (A, B, and C), which can be reserved as one, two, or all three units. The area is perfect for small banquets, speakers, and presentations. A built-in projector is featured in Section C, while all three sections have built-in projection screens. Sections A and C feature nooks for food or event material tables.This room measures 46 feet by 86 feet at full expansion. Each individual section measures 28 feet by 46 feet.
